Synopsis
Panico, a French-Chilean band, was a key force in Chile’s independent music scene of the 1990s. Formed by Eduardo Henríquez, who went into exile with his family fleeing the dictatorship, and Caroline Chaspoul, they met in France as teenagers and started making music together. They later moved to Chile in the aftermath of the dictatorship, during a period of intense artistic effervescence. Standing out for their avant-garde approach, creativity, groundbreaking spirit, and DIY ethos, Panico developed a unique path that led them back to France. Along the way, they established unique bonds with the Scottish band Franz Ferdinand. Their career was marked by dissidence, freedom of expression, self-sabotage, and misunderstandings.
